Colégio Oceanus

MB Education is the company that is developing bilingual/international curriculum schools under FIR Consolidar. The project involves investing in bilingual/international schools in a medium to high price segment, where occupancy rates currently exceed 87% in Portugal, driven by demand outstripping supply. This opportunity is leveraged by the increasing number of foreigners with high disposable incomes seeking bilingual schools. The project plans to: (i) investing in the pre-school segment, which is intended to feed the K-12 schools; (ii) investing in the renovation & expansion of K-12 schools with growth potential; (iii) and investing in new K-12 schools in places where there is no supply of international schools.

During 2025, 2 schools were integrated, one in Vila Nova de Gaia - Colégio Oceanus - and the another in Porto - Colégio Tickles, corresponding to a potential installed capacity of 530 and 327 students respectively.

For the school in Vila Nova de Gaia, with a current installed capacity of 207 students, at 97% occupancy, the investment thesis sustained in the expansion of the current premises, increasing installed capacity to at least 530 students, the investment thesis is the same, with a current installed capacity of 151 students, @100% utilization, the investment rationale lies on the expansion of the school to 327 students in total, while gradually implementing an international curriculum which will be launched already in the school year 2025/26.
